Patrick concentrates his practice on the defense of complex civil litigation claims, including toxic tort (asbestos, talc, ethylene oxide, PFAS, and benzene), cannabis litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability, product liability, and insurance coverage. Patrick also assists with corporate formation, acquisition, and contract matters. Patrick is proud to represent individuals, family-owned businesses and farms, and some of our country’s largest corporations.
Patrick serves in a National Coordinating Counsel role for asbestos litigation and has identified, prepared, and defended numerous corporate representative depositions. Patrick assists with the design and completion of multi-million-page document projects. Patrick designs and implements various alternative fee arrangements.
Patrick also counsels clients on cybersecurity and privacy issues, including developing cybersecurity and privacy policies and assisting clients in the management of those risks. Patrick counsels clients on compliance with state laws such as Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Patrick assists clients with the investigation and response to cyber incidents, including breach-response notifications.
